Yvonne (St. Gelais) Marquis

Yvonne Marquis 97, passed away on August 2, 2025 at The Friendly Home. She was the wife of the late Roland Marquis. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Clara (Hudon) St. Gelais. Roland and Yvonne owned and operated the former DunRite Cleaners in Woonsocket. Although Yvonne helped out at the cleaners she spent most of her time caring for her family and home. Yvonne loved playing cards especially cribbage and pitch. In younger days she and Roland enjoyed bowling.

She is survived by two sons Lionel Marquis of Pompano Beach, FL and Paul Marquis of North Kingstown, a granddaughter Lindsey Johnson and a great-grandson Landon. In addition to her husband, Yvonne was predeceased by two sons Ronald R. and Ronald W. Marquis, three brothers and four sisters.

Her funeral with Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 24, 2025 at 10:00 am in St. Joseph's Church, Mendon Rd, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Please visit: www.fournierandfournier.com for condolences.
