Wilfrid L. Charrette

Wilfrid L. Charrette, 88, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023, in Landmark Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Lorraine (Peloquin) Charrette. Wilfrid was born in Woonsocket, the son of the late Leo and Dora (Dubois) Charrette. He worked for McLaughlin & Moran for many years before retiring in 1990. Wilfrid enjoyed boating and travel, especially in the area of Biloxi, MS, and in his later years enjoyed playing the slots at Twin River.
He is survived by his daughters: Jo-Ann Renaud and her husband Michael of Woonsocket, Susan Dube of Woonsocket, Laureen Kamin and her husband Jeff of KY, Debra Smith and her husband Barry of N. Smithfield, and Melissa Demrest of Blackstone, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Wilfrid was predeceased by his four sisters: Doris Chartier, Beatrice Lavimodiere, Florence Cadieux, and Therese Dolbec. Funeral services for Wilfrid will be private. Because services are private,and not scheduled at this time, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, that you make a donation in Wilfrid's name to the charity of your choice.
