Wilfred A LaPointe

Wilfred A. LaPointe 91, formerly of Blackstone, passed away on December 6, 2022, at Woonsocket Health and Rehabilitation Center with family by his side. He was the husband of the late Patricia (Reilly) LaPointe. Born in Providence he was a son of the late Rudolph and Bertha (Pollette) LaPointe. Wilfred served in the US Army and later joined the Reserves. Wilfred was a Class A mechanist and worked for Tech Industries and Hanna Instruments for many years before retiring twenty years ago. He was a member of the VFW and the Amvets.

Wilfred is survived by his children, Phyllis Arpin of KY, Bertha “Beth” Roy and Jennifer LaPointe both of Woonsocket, and Jessica LaPointe of West Warwick; step-children, Ronald Descy and Gloria Solecki  both of Woonsocket, Doreen Dubois of Harrisville, Kathy Aquino of IN, Brian Blanchette of GA and Suzanne Boudreau of Northbridge, MA, two sisters Beatrice Farquhar and Ethel Fountaine both of Woonsocket, eighteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren He was predeceased by his son Wilfred L. LaPointe, and step -children, Anita Descy, and Raymond Blanchette, and siblings George F. LaPointe, Rudolph A. LaPointe Jr. Donald E. LaPointe, and Emily Burrows.

Visiting hours will be held Monday, December 12, 2022, from 4-7 PM at the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket.
