Violet Neveu 100, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2021 at the Ballou Home. Born in Woonsocket on March 22, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Glorianna (Bruneault) Neveu. Violet was employed at the FW Woolworth Company for fifty-one years, beginning at the Main St. location and retiring as office manager for many years at the Diamond Hill Rd. location. Violet was a former member of the Ladies’ Guild at the former St. Ann’s Parish and later All Saints Parish. She was also a member of Union St. Jean Baptiste for several years. She had an artistic quality as she knitted and crocheted many afghans for family members. She also painted beautiful pictures and worked with ceramics. Violet loved to read, do word searches, and spend quality time with family and friends playing cards and Skipbo. She was a loyal Red Sox fan. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining family and friends, especially on New Year’s Day when family gathered together.
Violet is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Roland and Paul Neveu and Gertrude Sitnik.
