Valerie A (Sutula) Jensen

Valerie A. Jensen 76, of Cross St. passed away on January 1, 2024, with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Henry Jensen. Born in Bridgeport, CT, she was a daughter of the late Aloisius and Rose Aurora (Bouchard) Sutula. Valerie worked for the Woonsocket School Department as a teaching assistant for thirteen years. She enjoyed camping and family activities. Valerie was very crafty and made many knotted blankets, many of which she donated.

She is survived by her children, Donald B. Jensen of Utah, Marie McPhee of Woonsocket, Annette Paquin of NC, and Christopher Jensen of CT, two sisters Marian Brodt of N. Smithfield, and Catherine Nault of Burrillville, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sisters Phyllis Desjardins and Loretta Sutula.

Her funeral with visitation will be held Thursday, January 4, 2024, at the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St., Woonsocket. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM and conclude with a prayer service at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, RI.
