Therese M. (Chapdelaine) Legare

Therese M. Legare 95, formerly of Woonsocket, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at the Tockwottom Home on the Waterfront in East Providence. She was the wife of the late Laval Legare for over fifty-four years. She was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Wilfrid and Roseanne (Belanger) Chapdelaine. Therese worked for Tupperware for many years as a machine operator and later worked at Mark Stevens Warehouse in Woonsocket. She was a woman of deep faith and had a great love for her family and was a prolific birthday cake baker, making cakes for every family member’s birthday. Therese was a former member of the All Saints Ladies Guild, was a church bazaar and bingo volunteer and a member of the St. Joseph’s Senior Citizens. She is survived by her children: Paul Legare and his wife Mary of Attleboro, and Gloria Nolan of East Hampton, MA, five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was predeceased by all her siblings: Arthur, Gerard, and Normand Chapdelaine, Cora San Soucie, and Anita and Jeanne Levesque. Funeral services are private and under the direction of the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home.
