Tammy Lynn Bacon 47, of Chepachet, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2025 in RI Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Manuel Beato. Tammy was born in Woonsocket, the biological daughter of the late Pauline Blouin.
She worked first as a CNA and then at Alternatives Unlimited taking care of special needs patients for several years.
She loved animals adopting two rescue cats, Jazmine and Fancy Face, which were her companions for over 15 years, and had a boxer named Apollo who also passed of cancer a few years ago.
She worked as a massage therapist, as well as facials and make-up, which she utilized while she was undergoing chemotherapy and later to comfort other cancer patients until she couldn’t after her second bout with cancer.
Tammy was a true warrior, fighting two bouts of cancer. Yet, she always found the strength to be willing to help others and always continued to be very giving.
In addition to her husband Manny, she is survived by her mom Connie Bacon, her siblings: Glen Bacon of Slatersville, Jeff Bacon of Millville, Kim Bacon of St. Cloud, FL, Amy Sobel of Brandon, FL, and Kelly Cournoyer of North Smithfield. And she is also survived by Panda, her French bulldog, as well as countless friends and neighbors who loved her. She was predeceased by her dad, Bruce Bacon.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday, May 8, 2025, 5-7 PM in the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St, Woonsocket.
