Stephen J. Brien 61, of Newland Ave., died November 1, 2020 at home. He was the beloved husband of Jeannine (Carpentier) Brien. Born in Central Falls, Steve was a son of Roger Brien and the late Barbara (Callahan) Brien. He was a 1977 graduate of Woonsocket High School and 1978 graduate of Hall Institute. Stephen was a CNC Machinist for Antron Engineering and Machine from 1999 to 2020. His greatest love was music. Steve began playing the drums at the age of 13. From 1976 -1986 he played with the band Pyramid locally and throughout New England. Stephen had many talents, he was an excellent artist and could draw, paint and do beautiful wood burnings. He also enjoyed metal detecting, rock collecting and coin collecting which he shared with his father.
Besides his wife and father, he leaves a stepson Raymond Adam and his wife Jessica and their children, Chase Evan and Gavin Thomas Adam; a brother Bruce Brien and his wife Pamela; a sister Ann Brien Fortier and her husband Richard. He will be greatly missed by his two birds Marley and Loki.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 10:00 to 12:00 noon at the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., Woonsocket. Private Burial will be held in Diamond Hill Cemetery in Cumberland. Masks are required and Social Distancing Guidelines will be observed.
