Roland H. Bergeron

Roland H. Bergeron 90, husband of the late Yvonne ( Allard) Bergeron, passed away Sunday, February 21, at the home of his daughter Diane Bernier- Iskierski with whom he lived. He was born in North Smithfield, a son of the late Leo and Alice (Bachand) Bergeron. Mr. Bergeron worked as an exepeditor for Swank Inc. in Attleboro and Taunton for forty years before retiring in 1992. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and loved gardening and fishing.

He is survived by three daughters: Diane Bernier- Iskierski of North Smithfield, Paula Dusablon and her husband Lawrence of Harrisville, and Linda Brouillette and her husband Kenneth of Blackstone, seven grandchildren: James, Nicholas, Lawrence, Tina, Jason, Keith, and Holly, five great – grandchildren,  five siblings: Henry Bergeron of CA, Rene Bergeron of North Smithfield, Robert Bergeron of Woonsocket, and Jeannette Lemire and Rita Couture, both of Lincoln, and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Leo Bergeron and Pauline Paine. In addition, he is survived by his former son-in-law Kevin Iskierski who along with Roland’s daughter Diane, assisted in Roland’s care in his final years.

His funeral with a Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, February 26, at 10:00 AM in Holy Trinity Church, Park Ave., Woonsocket.

Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham but will be private due to Covid-19 restrictions. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Continuum Hospice and Palliative Care, 1350 Division Rd, Suite 205, West Warwick, RI 02893.
