Roland J. “Lucky” Berthiaume Sr. 93, formerly of Pond St. passed away on December 6, 2022, at The Holiday Retirement Home in Lincoln. He was the husband of the late Rochelle (Godin) Berthiaume. Born in Chelsea, MA, he was the son of the late Napoleon and Philomene (Frenette) Berthiaume. Roland was a heavy equipment operator for Schnitzer Steel formerly known as Metals Recycling Co. for fifteen years. He was a US Army Veteran and served during WWII.
Roland is survived by his children Davey Berthiaume, Debra Martin and Roland J. Berthiaume Jr. all of Woonsocket, Scott Berthiaume of Cumberland, and Adam Berthiaume of Lincoln, nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held Monday December 12, 2022, at the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, from 4-7 PM. Burial will be held Friday, December 16, 2022, at 11:00AM at the RI Veteran Memorial Cemetery in Exeter. In lieu of flowers donation to DAV.org in his memory would be appreciated.
