Robert W. Noel

Robert W. Noel 84 of Woonsocket, passed away Monday, March 17, 2025 at home. He was the beloved husband of Pauline (Laplume) Noel. Bob was born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Gerard and Sylvia (Ethier) Noel. He was an Army veteran and served twenty-eight years in the Army National Guard after serving on active duty in the US Army. Bob was a jack of all trades and worked as a machinist for Nelmor for many years and most recently worked as a bus/van driver for Travelers.  He was a consummate handyman and performed most household projects on his own. He was also a Fourth Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus.

In addition to his wife Pauline, he is survived by his children: James Noel and his wife Maura of Berkley, MA, John and Jeffrey Noel of Woonsocket, four grandchildren: Chelsea, Nevaeh, Julianna, and Victoreah, and one great grandchild Aliannah, and his sister-in-law Claire Noel. He was also the brother of the late Gerard Noel.

His funeral with Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, March 28, 2025 at 10:00AM in St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon RD, Woonsocket. Burial with military honors will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. The family will receive guests inside the entrance to the church beginning at 9:30.
