Robert H. Gallant 72, passed away Tuesday, September 14, at the VA Medical Center in Providence. He was born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Robert and Fabiola “Bella” (Dubois) Gallant. Bob was a USMC veteran of the Vietnam War, serving two tours of duty. He worked in construction for many years retiring in 1980, and later worked as a bartender. Bob was a member of the D.A.V., was an avid NE Patriots fan, and loved fishing, especially at Union Pond in Pascoag. He enjoyed old movies and playing the lottery.
He is survived by his siblings: Raymond Gallant and his wife Peggy of Douglas, MA, Francis Gallant of OH, and Peter Gallant and his wife Sandy of Oakland, his grandson Carter Gallant, and many nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Brandon Maycock, and brother of the late Andre Gallant and Penny Connors.
His funeral will be held Tuesday, September 21, at 9:30 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in the VA Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours will be Monday 5-7 PM.
