Robert P. Desrochers, 76, of Lydia Ave passed away on May 10, 2024 at St. Antoine Residence. He was the husband of Rachelle (Gauthier) Desrochers for almost 48 years. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Robert N. and Gloria (Abysalh) Desrochers. Bob was a computer programmer-analyst for most of his life, working at several area businesses including Rhode Island Hospital, Hasbro and CVS. He enjoyed woodworking and wood turning and was a member of the Ocean Wood Turners and the Rhode Island Rose Society. Bob enjoyed family trips to New Hampshire and traveling with Rachelle.
Besides his wife he leaves two sons, Christopher R. Desrochers and his wife Maura and Peter J. Desrochers and his wife Diana, all of Brooklyn, NY, a brother Paul J. Desrochers of Woonsocket, and a grandson Simon. He was predeceased by his sister Joyce T. Malboeuf.
His funeral will be held Monday, May 20, 2024, at the Fournier and Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM and concluding with a prayer service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham.
