Robert Charpentier

Robert Charpentier 96, of Bernice Ave. passed away on May 22, 2023, at Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Helen T. (Bousquet) Charpentier. Born in Woonsocket, he was one of sixteen children born to the late Emery and Adelle (Desrosiers) Charpentier. Robert was a barber and hairdresser along with four of his brothers at Lorenzo’s Barber Shop in Woonsocket. He was a WWII Navy Veteran and served his military time, along with his twin brother Albert, as an acrobat in the entertainment division. Robert also performed in Vaudeville with his wife Helen.

He is survived by his children Robert L. Charpentier of Clearwater, FL, Marcia Bileau Charpentier of Woonsocket, Anne Woods of North Smithfield, Jane Charpentier of Nashville, TN, and Marc Charpentier of Franklin, MA, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

His funeral with visitation will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2023, from 9:00-10:00 AM. with a service in the Funeral Home at 10:00 AM. Burial with Military Honors will follow in The RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, RI.
