Richard M. Miller, 89, of Miles Avenue, passed away on June 4, 2025, at The Holiday in Lincoln. He was the beloved husband of Delia (Malaga) Miller.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Jerome and Valeria (Staniszewski) Miller. Richard lived in Perth Amboy, NJ, for many years before moving to Woonsocket in 2016.
He dedicated over twenty-five years of service as a social worker for the New Jersey Division of Youth and Family Services. In the late 1960s, Richard served with the Peace Corps as a member of the Passionist Missionaries, where he was known as Father Felix.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Eduardo Miller and Alex Miller, both of Woonsocket, and Deborah Brennan of Keansburg, NJ. He also leaves behind his siblings: John Miller, Valerie Hackman, Kathleen Thompson, Theresa Whaley, and Christine Picarsic; and nine grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Jerome Miller.
Visitation and funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, beginning at 9:30 AM at the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland Street, Woonsocket. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM at St. Agatha’s Church on Joffre Street, Woonsocket. Burial will take place at St. James Cemetery in Manville.
