Richard O. (Sr) Doire

Richard O. Doire Sr. 79, of Greenville Rd. passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Rita (Villiard) Doire. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Herve and Albina (Vadnais) Doire. Richard was a wire drawer for Metaloy for many years. He also worked in the maintenance department at the Marriot Hotel in Providence for several years. Richard attended MTTI an received his General Contractor Certificate. He loved spending time with his family and will be greatly missed.  

Besides his wife he leaves a son Richard O. Doire Jr and his wife Julie of N. Smithfield; five daughters, Danielle Doire and Christine Doire both of N. Smithfield, Jennifer Lambert and her husband Brian, Kimberly Rothrock and her husband Kevin, and Erica Doire all of Woonsocket; two brothers Dennis Doire of Wrentham, and Kenneth Doire of CT; a sister Patricia Ladouceur of Woonsocket; fifteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was also the brother of the late Robert Doire, Carmen Boudreau, and Denise Toupin.

His funeral will be held Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at 9:00 AM from the Fournier& Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 Am at Holy Trinity Church, Park Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Monday, December 6, 2021, from 4-7 PM.
