Richard W. Cormier

Richard W. Cormier 81, of 547 Clinton St., passed away Monday, February 13, 2023 in Woonsocket Health Center. He was the beloved husband of Vivianne (Chapdelaine) Cormier. Richard was born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Alfred and Anna (Sulima) Cormier. He worked as a textile worker for many area textile mills including Bonin Spinning for many years. Richard was devoted to his wife, enjoyed driving, and had a great love of Buicks! He would always be seen smoking his Kool cigarettes with a K, and enjoyed going to Rocky Point and  Woodstock Fair in his younger years. He was well known in the community, always chatting to somebody in the local supermarkets and visiting his friend Kevin of Bernier’s Auto on weekends. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Deborah Vasquez of Woonsocket and three grandchildren: Justin, Joshua, and Elisha. He was also the father of the late Michael Cormier.
