Raymond Pace Obituary

Raymond V. Pace “Uncle Ray” 79, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Landmark Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Lorraine (Garneau) Pace. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Marco and Bertha (Picard) Pace. Ray worked for General Electric for thirty years. He also worked as a videographer and was the owner and operator of Pace Video for thirty-five years. Ray served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed golf and playing cards with his buddies. Ray was well loved by everyone who knew him and will be greatly missed.

Besides his wife he leaves a daughter Cheryl A. Desmarais and her husband Emile of Harrisville, a brother Richard Pace and his wife Helene of Woonsocket, a sister-in-law Sr. Rita Garneau PM of Hudson, NH, a nephew and godchild Keith Pace and his wife Nicki and their children Kennedie and McKenna of Johnston, two grandchildren Collin and Jillian and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery. The family will greet guest at church beginning at 9:30. Face masks and Social Distancing guidelines will be observed. In lieu of flowers donations to a charity of your choice in memory of Ray would be appreciated. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Landmark Medical Center and Friendly Home for the wonderful care and kindness afforded to Ray during his illness.
