Pauline A. (Rondeau) Croteau 84, of Hamilton St. passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at home. She was the wife of the late Charles Croteau. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Christian and Rhea (St. Germain) Rondeau. Pauline was a clerk for the former Nyanza Department Store, she then worked for Almac’s Supermarket for twenty-five years until they closed and retired from Shaw’s Supermarket where she worked in the deli department for twelve years. Pauline enjoyed bowling, playing bingo and going to the casinos. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
She is survived by her sons Roger Croteau and his wife Lynn of North Smithfield, Paul R. Croteau and his wife Suzanne of Cumberland, two brothers Raymond Rondeau and Michael Rondeau both of Woonsocket, seven grandchildren Christy, Derek, Megan, Kyle, Brittney, Brandon, and Nicholas, and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings, Lucienne Varieur, Richard Rondeau, Maurice Rondeau, and David Rondeau.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Church, Park Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Monday 4-7 PM.
