Paul R. Thibodeau 80, of Sixth Ave. passed away suddenly on January 29, 2024, at Landmark Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Pauline (Belleville) Thibodeau. Born in Biddeford, ME, he was a son of the late Julien and Rose Beatrice (Camire) Thibodeau. Paul was a Brother of the Sacred Heart for seventeen years and taught at Mt. St. Charles Academy as Br. Rosario. After leaving the order he worked at Superior Plastic as a General Foreman for a few years. He then worked as the night custodian for Woonsocket City Hall for fourteen years and later worked for The Homestead Group until his retirement fifteen years ago. Paul enjoyed bingo, playing cards, and doing jigsaw puzzles. He loved all sports but especially loved watching his grandson play hockey. Paul had a great outlook on life, a smile on his face and a great love for his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who know him.
Besides his wife he leaves his girls, Patricia Brouillard and her husband Brian, and Pamela Mauricio and her companion Jeffrey Mello all of Woonsocket, two brothers, Gerald A. Thibodeau of GA, and Richard A. Thibodeau of Biddeford ME. He was the loving grandfather of Michael Paul Brouillard, Madison Mauricio and Isabella Mauricio. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. Paul was predeceased by his brothers, Robert L. Thibodeau, Gerard J. Thibodeau and Rene M. Thibodeau.
His funeral will be held Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 9:00AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Church, Park Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting Hours are Friday February 2, 2024, from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908 in his memory would be appreciated.
