Paul A. Desfosses Sr. 80, of Pond St. passed away on December 6, 2023, at the Philip Hulitar Center. He was the husband of Leona (Moreau) Desfosses. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Ernest and Georgiana (Caya) Desfosses. Paul was a proud veteran and served in the US Navy and Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a forklift driver for Cumberland Engineering retiring in 1974. Paul loved music and enjoyed singing and playing the guitar. His greatest joy was his family.
Besides his wife he leaves a daughter Alice Anne Desfosses Brillant and her husband John of Blackstone, a son Paul A. Desfosses Jr and his wife Sandra of Woonsocket, a brother Ernest J. Desfosses of AK, a sister Alice Hamelin and her husband Donald of CA, eight grandchildren Stephanie Defosses and her fiancé Michael, Alysha Roy and her significant other Jorge, Paige Mottram and her significant other Oscar, Colin Desfosses and his wife Alex, Tyler Ottavi and his significant other Melissa, Nathaniel Ottavi, John-Alton-Brillant and Kelsie Desfosses and ten great-grandchildren, Aryiana, Luis, Gabriel, Jaida, Memphis, Amari, Jessica, Jalissa, Joshua and Wyatt and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Anne-Marie Moison and brother Robert Desfosses and grandson Jared Roy.
His funeral will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Holy Trinity Church, Park Ave. Woonsocket. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Monday, December 11, 2023, from 4-7 PM.
