Ovila J. Verfaille

Ovila J. Verfaille 94, formerly of Lincoln passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023 in the Friendly Home surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Dolores (Cazeault) Verfaille.  Ovila was born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Robert and Lucia (Belanger) Verfaille. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. Ovila was an accountant for various local beer and wine distributors retiring in 1991. Ovila was an avid gardener, a member of the WHS Music Boosters, and was very involved in the Narragansett Council of the BSA. He was a member the St. Agatha finance council for many years, and enjoyed fishing and travel.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Richard Verfaille and his wife Brenda of Lincoln, Pauline Erdman and her life partner Donald Dalpe of Blackstone, and Donald Verfaille and his husband William Stewart of Boston.

His funeral with visitation will be held Monday, July 3, at 9:30 am, from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St, Woonsocket. His Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am in Divine Mercy Church, St. Paul St, Blackstone. Burial with military honors will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.
