Obituary

Normand J. Frappier, 88, of Johnston, passed away on Sunday, June 4, at Anchor Bay at Pocasset surrounded by his loving family.  He was the beloved husband of Lorraine (St. Jean) Frappier. They celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on May 30.

Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Eva and Leonidas Frappier. Normand owned and operated Frapp’s Appliance in Woonsocket for many years. He was a lonely Maytag Man who sold and serviced customer’s appliances from all over the area. He resided in Woonsocket and spent summers at his home at Spring Lake until 1990 when he retired to Daytona Beach Shores, FL. He moved back to this area in late 2021 due to declining health. In his earlier years, he was a member of Club Par-X and Club Marquette in Woonsocket and more recently the Elks Club in Port Orange, FL where he was “Elk of the Year” and was a volunteer for Meals On Wheels.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his daughter, Susan Ebert and her husband, Keith, of Palm Harbor, FL and his daughter, Rachel Kennett, and her husband, Douglas, of North Smithfield. He was the grandfather of two grandchildren, Stephanie Norton and Timothy Kennett and also had two great-grandchildren.  He was the brother of the late Cora Parenteau.

Services will be private.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, Woonsocket.
