Muriel C. Clem, 89, of Woonsocket, died on Monday, January 27, 2025 at The Holiday Nursing Home, Manville, RI, surrounded by her loving family, her kind roommate Mrs. Lucille Hebert, and caring staff. She was the wife for over 50 years of the late Arthur N. Clem, Jr. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Romeo and Leonide (Labelle) Lavallee.
Mrs. Clem worked as an eligibility technician for the RI Department of Human Services, retiring in the late 90’s. She was a member of the St. Louis Ladies Guild and was a lector and Extraordinary Minister at All Saint’s Parish in Woonsocket for many years. She was a volunteer at the Fr. Marot CYO Center and the Museum of Work and Culture in Woonsocket. She most enjoyed time spent with her family, she also enjoyed RV’ing with her family, traveling, crafts, and was a masterful painter. Her family has retained many of her wonderful paintings which are lovingly displayed in their homes. Muriel lived her Catholic faith with humility and warmth and was always willing to assist anyone in need.
Mrs. Clem is now reunited with her beautiful daughter, Debra C. Levesque, who passed in 2021. She is survived by her son Thomas and his wife Lisette of Woonsocket, her son-in-law Marc Levesque and his wife Lynne of North Smithfield, RI, and her loving grandchildren Kristen Fletcher and her husband Charles of Burrillville, Bryan Levesque and his wife Kortnee of Douglas, MA, Jameson Clem and his wife Stephanie Householder of Franklin, MA, and Lauren Clem and her fiancée Peter Calestino of Lincoln. She is also survived by her greatest joys, her great-grandchildren Alexis Levesque, Braydin Levesque, Cohen Fletcher, Kaylee Fletcher, and Emily Clem, and is also survived by her sister, Lorraine Jardin of Cumberland. She was predeceased by her sister, Anita “Nete” Tessier of Cumberland.
Her Funeral will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. John Vianney Church, Diamond Hill Rd. Cumberland. Burial will be immediately following at Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Visiting hours are Friday, January 31, 2025, from 5-7 PM.
