Michael A. St. Germain

“IT IS WHAT IT IS……” Those are the words Mike St. Germain lived his life by. Not a bad way to look at it, all things considered.

Michael A. St. Germain, 65, of Woonsocket died Monday April 7, 2025 at home. Born in Woonsocket he was son of Violet (Saucier) St. Germain and the late Aldor St. Germain. He was a graduate of North Smithfield High School with the class of 1978.

Michael was the owner and operator of Champion Motor Sports on North Main St. in Woonsocket. Mike was immersed in the automotive world. He had an extensive knowledge and collection of cars and motorcycles. Some of his favorite times were hitting the road on his motorcycle. We guess you could say that the open road was Mike’s personal therapy session.

Mike didn’t just live life by the beat of his own drum; he lived it by the rhythm of his own band. Mike was a complex person. He was possessed of a quiet demeanor. Some of his shall we say “eccentricities” came through in obvious or subtle or even mysterious ways. You could say Mike was an enigma, and he’d be OK with that. Mike lived life on his own terms and when it was time to go he’d more than likely say something like this, “OK, it’s time to go – Lights Out! Close your eyes and remember Mike that way. That is what he’d want you to do.   

Mike was the brother of Donald O. St. Germain and his wife Emma of Harrisville and Diane St. Germain and her husband Al Beauregard of Loudon New Hampshire.
