Mary Gauvin Obituary

Mary T Gauvin 95 of West St. passed away on September 3, 2022. Born in Millville, MA, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Margaret (Miles) Gauvin. Mary worked for the US Rubber Co. until their closing in the mid 1970’s. She then worked for Keough Kirby and Associates as a Customer Service Representative for several years. Mary most recently worked as a part-time Assistant Librarian for the Millville Free Public Library. She was also a member of the Millville Historical Commission. Mary was an avid Red Sox fan and very knowledgeable of the game. She very much enjoyed traveling to FL and attending spring training games with her brother, Ray. She could even boast that she saw Ted Williams play! Mary loved animals and spending time with family and friends, especially her great grandnephews.

Mary is survived by a sister-in-law Mary L. Gauvin of Franklin, her niece Susan Moir (Jack) of Franklin, her nephew David C. Gauvin (Ann) of AZ, and nephews Steven, Michael, and Robert of CA and CO, as well as several great nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her brothers Raymond F. and Leo V. Gauvin. Mary also leaves behind her kind and caring friends and neighbors at Millville Heights and Millville Free Public Library.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Divine Mercy Church, St. Paul St., Blackstone, MA at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery in Blackstone. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Friends of The Millville Library, 169 Main St., Millville, MA. 01529.
