Marcel C Bessette

Marcel C. Bessette 81, formerly of Rosner Ave., passed away December 20, 2022, at the Golden Crest Nursing Home. He is the husband of Cheryl (Lagreca) Bessette. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Frederic and Aurore (Bourre) Bessette. Marcel was a forklift operator for CVS Mark Stevens Corporation for over thirty years, before retiring. He was fondly known there for his car-pooling efforts. Marcel enjoyed traveling, playing cards, bowling and golfing. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. Marcel was a member of the Woonsocket Elks Lodge #850 and the Cercle Laurier.

Besides his wife he leaves his children, Marcel P. Bessette of Woonsocket, Celeste Barnes and her husband Alan of Johnston, and Colette Lemoine and her husband Michael of North Providence, a sister Claudette Theodoroff of Lincoln, and five grandchildren Randall Burke, Alex Barnes, Sebastian Barnes, David Lemoine, and Nicholas Lemoine. He was predeceased by a stepdaughter Kimberly Haulish. Has a loving niece Erin Long & nephew Jim Clancy

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, from 5-7 PM.
