Lucille C. Galipeau, 91, formerly of Manville Hill Rd. in Cumberland, passed away on September 24, 2025, at St. Antoine Residence. She was the wife of the late Leonel Galipeau. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Adelard and Doris (Godon) St. Germain. Lucille was a teacher’s assistant at the former Msgr. Gadoury School in Woonsocket. She had previously worked in the business office of the John E. Fogarty Memorial Hospital. Lucille was a member of St. Agatha’s Senior Center. She was a graduate of St. Clare High School. She enjoyed music, attending concerts and traveling, especially to Hawaii.
Lucille is survived by her sons Denis Galipeau and his wife Janet of Woonsocket; and Paul Galipeau and his wife Kara of Millville; a sister, Suzanne Danko of Attleboro; nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Marc Galipeau and daughter Andree Galipeau; and two brothers, Adelard Jr. and Gerald St. Germain.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Holy Trinity Church, Park Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Antoine Residence in her memory would be appreciated.
