Lucille J. Cibicki 94, of North Smithfield, passed away Friday, March 6, 2026 at The Holiday Retirement Home in Manville with her daughter Rachel by her side. She was the wife of the late Taddeus Cibicki and the late Normand Desrosiers. She was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Edmond and Leonie (Desrosiers) Ethier. She held various retail positions at McArthy’s and was an Assistant manager at the former Save Rite Dept Store in Woonsocket. Lucille was a woman of great faith and loved her church. In 1976, she and her family sponsored a Laotian family through the organization “Friends of Vietnamese Families”. The family would stay with them for four years.
She is survived by her daughter Rachel Lepore and her partner Lou Reo of Greenville, her stepdaughter Christine Casavant of Woonsocket, eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Louise Desrosiers-Wood, as well all her siblings.
Her funeral with Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 16, 2026 at 10:00 in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave, Woonsocket. The family will receive guests at 9:30 at the church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.
