Lionel D Glaude

Lionel D. Glaude 90, Passed away on December 16, 2020 at Landmark Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Dorothy (Grondines) Glaude to whom he was married for seventy years. Born in Slatersville, he was a son of the late Ernest and Mary (Thouin) Glaude. Lionel was employed at General Motors as a welder for thirty-eight years until his retirement in 1989. He was a lifetime member of the Millville Men’s Club in Blackstone. He belonged to the YMCA for twenty-five years, where he made many friends while he enjoyed swimming and working out. Lionel also enjoyed bowling, baseball and card playing. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Lionel was the proud father of five children, a son Denis Glaude and his wife Jane of Uxbridge, and four daughters, Louise Demers and her husband Edward, Debra Cassidy and her husband Paul and Barbara Scanlon and her husband Gino all of Woonsocket, and Susan L’Etoile and her husband Paul of North Smithfield. He was the loving grandfather of ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers Theodore and Alcide Glaude.
