Joseph A. Darling Jr

Joseph A. Darling Jr 69, of Woonsocket passed away Sunday, November 3, 2024 in Landmark Medical Center.  He was born in Woonsocket, the son of the late Joseph A. Darling Sr and the Claire (Michaud) Delaurier. He worked as a laborer for Leathertone for many years. “Uncle Al” as he was known to his many honorary nieces and nephews, enjoyed fishing, playing cards and adored his children and grandchildren. He was a generous man who was always willing to help those in need and was loved by all who knew him. He is survived by his children Deanna Darling of Oshkosh, WI and Michael Limburg of Brockton, MA, a stepson, Matthew Desautell of Lincoln, nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and his siblings: Mark Darling of Woonsocket, Rick Darling of SC, Donna Darling of Chepachet, and Rose Gauvin of Woonsocket. He was also predeceased by his son Joseph Limburg, his brothers, John L. and Robert F. Darling, and his stepfather affectionately known as “T Boy”.  A celebration of life will be open to all on Friday, November 8, 2024, 6-11 PM at The Columbus Club, 171 Jenckes Hill Rd, Lincoln, RI.
