Chepachet
Jeffrey J. Lawrence 67, of Chepachet and formerly of Woonsocket passed away Friday, August 23, 2024, in Our Lady of Fatima Hospital North Providence. Jeff was born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Joseph and Carol (Flynn) Lawrence. He worked as a truck driver for Super Value for many years before retiring in 2014. He was a US Army veteran. Jeff was a member of the Cercle Laurier, Woonsocket Lodge of Elks and IWC. Jeff was a man known for his immense heart, infectious laugh and radiant smile. He was a devoted friend to all who knew him. His one-of-a-kind sense of humor made him the life of every party. Jeff will be remembered for his unwavering love of his family, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was known for his roaring fires, delicious Sunday dinners and pancakes bigger than the plate. He loved ice fishing, New England sports, Gunsmoke, and The Marshall Tucker Band. His presence lit up every room he entered, leaving a trail of joy and laughter in his wake. Though we mourn his loss, we find solace in the love that surrounds us—a love that Jeff so freely gave. Love is the miracle that heals all pain, and we believe Jeff will continue to show up in our lives through small, everyday miracles. He is survived by his partner of many years, Linda Newlands, and his children: Ian Lawrence and his wife Brittani of Colchester, CT, Emily Smith and her husband David a.k.a “Bubba” of St. Cloud, FL, his grandchildren: Boen, Banks, Sutton, and Tristan, and his siblings Greg Lawrence of Woonsocket and his wife Nancy, Jayne Lawrence of Melbourne, FL and Bonnie Sue Bergeron and her husband Daniel of Dover, DE.
