Jeannette J. (Desrochers) Girouard

Jeannette J. Girouard 93, formerly of Newland Ave. passed away on December 14, 2021, at Oakland Grove Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Leo Girouard. Born in St. Gabrielle de Branden, PQ, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Alcide and Diana (Bonin) Desrochers. Jeannette worked as an assembler for the Tupperware Corporation for fifteen years. She later worked at Mt St. Rita Health Centre for ten years before retiring. Jeannette was an avid travelor and traveled throughout the states and abroad. She also enjoyed crocheting.

Jeannette is survived by her loving daughter Diane Glassey of Woonsocket, a sister Therese Lanoie of Canada and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings. Real Champagne, Aline Goulet and Albertin Desrochers.

Her funeral with visitation will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at 8:30 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery in Manville.
