Jeanne (Lussier) Thibeault, 87, passed away on Sunday, February 9th in Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Emile Thibeault Sr. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of Leo and Olive (Belrose) Lussier. She leaves behind four loving children Emile Thibeault Jr and his wife Marguerite, Leo Thibeault and his wife Pauline all of Woonsocket, Jeannine Patenaude and her husband Daniel of North Smithfield, and Robert Thibeault and his wife Sheri of Chepachet. Jeanne will be missed by her eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She also leaves two brothers, Roland and Lionel Lussier both of Woonsocket. She was predeceased by her daughter Suzanne Whyte and brother Lucien Lussier.
Jeanne was a lifelong resident of Woonsocket, where she worked and raised her family. She retired from the CVS Distribution Center after twenty-five years. Jeanne filled her life with dedication to her family and to her faith. She was known to phone her mother daily, sharing the day’s events in French until her mom had passed. She loved to bake, leaving behind generations of loved ones who will remember her cakes, pies, cookies, and fudge. She also loved dogs, reading, and spending time with family. Jeanne never forgot a birthday card or a prayer for the ones she loved.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 9:30 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Rd., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Monday, February 17, 2025, from 4-7 PM.
