Janine (Vincelette) Fontaine

Janine Fontaine 92, of Wyndemere Woods, Woonsocket, passed away Friday, January 15, at Landmark Medical Center. She was the loving wife of the late Gilbert Fontaine. Janine was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Arthur and Edwina (Legare) Vincelette. She was a clerk for CVS at Park Square for over twenty-five years, and was the co-owner of Belgian Maid Malt Co. She was a wonderful and caring mother and was also the principal caregiver of her daughter Nancy for fifty-five years. Janine was also very active in RIARC, the PTO, was a Cub Scout Den Mother, and a communicant and volunteer of St Agatha’s Parish. She is survived by her children: Jeffrey Fontaine and his wife Carolyn of Blackstone, her daughter Nancy Fontaine of North Smithfield, and was the mother of the late Gary Fontaine. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren: Jessica, Shauna, Jill, Stacey, Liana, Karina, and Gianna, and her great grandchildren: Ron, Logan, Madeline, and Vera. She was also the sister of the late Bella Petrin.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 29, 2021 at 10:00 am in St. Agatha’s Church, Joffre Ave, Woonsocket.  Burial will be private in accordance with current COVID-19 guidelines.
