Irene A. (Bergeron) Laliberte

Irene A. Laliberte 103, formerly of Pickering Rd. in Blackstone, passed away on February 25, 2026, at Oakland Grove Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Joseph W. A. Laliberte. Born in Cumberland, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Exilia (Mercier) Bergeron. Irene worked for the former Andrews Mills and Florence Textile retiring in 1987. She was a volunteer at St. Antoines Residence in North Smithfield and St. Theresa’s Parish in Blackstone.

Irene is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Beatrice Beaudet, Jeanne Trudeau, and Therese Dufresne.

Her funeral will be held Thursday, March 5. 2026 at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Divine Mercy Church, St. Paul St. Blackstone. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery in Blackstone.
