Helen M. Girouard

Helene M. Girouard 83, of Lighthouse at Lincoln, formerly of Cass Ave., passed away on May 19, 2022, at the Phillip Hulitar Center. She was the wife of the late Roger N. Girouard Sr. Born in Cranston, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Blanche (Marcoux) Lafleur. Helen worked in retail sales for most of her life. She was a member of the Red Hat Lady’s, an avid card player and she enjoyed gardening. Her greatest joy however was spending time with her family.

Helen is survived by her sons Roger N. Girouard Jr. of Nashua, NH, Michael A. Girouard of Pembroke, NH, and Paul E. Girouard of Princeton, MN, daughters Diane M. Cote of Harrisville, and Suzanne M. Girouard of Burrillville, nine grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.

Her funeral with visitation will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Rd., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham.   In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer’s Association RI Chapter, 245 waterman St. Ste. 306, Providence, RI 02906-5215 in her memory would be appreciated.
