Gerald R. Toupin 92, formerly of Slatersville, passed away on May 5, 2026, at Stillwater Nursing Care. He was the husband of the late Lina (Hogue) Toupin. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Honore and Marie (Marien) Toupin. Gerald was a special needs teacher for the Tri-County Vocational School in Franklin, MA. There he specialized in “Café” teaching the students how to work in a café or restaurant setting and helping them acquire jobs. When he wasn’t working, he was busy raising his seven boys.
Gerald is survived by his sons, Marc Toupin of Woonsocket, Michael Toupin of Blackstone, Matthew Toupin of Riverside, Martin Toupin of North Providence, Philip Toupin of North Fort Myers, FL., and Peter Toupin of Fort Lauderdale, FL. He was predeceased by his son Luc Toupin. He also leaves fourteen grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren. Gerald was predeceased by his siblings, Rita Forget, Marguerite Vadenais, Lorraine Langevin, Lionel, Ernest, Albert, Roland, and Armand Toupin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Church, Park Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Please visit www.fournierndfournier.com for guestbook.
