Eva R. (Riendeau) Lavigne

Eva Rose Lavigne 93, formerly of Cumberland, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at RI Hospital. Eva was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Ovila and Eva (Langevin) Riendeau. She was a machine operator for AT Cross for many years. Eva had a deep abiding faith in God and was a very giving person who was always willing to help those in need. She was a woman with a great sense of humor who enjoyed shopping and spending quality time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children: Albert Lavigne and his fiancée Karen Nadeau of Glendale, Claire Pelletier and her husband Robert of N. Smithfield, and Therese Giroux and her husband David of Hopedale, MA, nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Eva was predeceased by her son Lucien Lavigne, who sadly passed away in 2020. She was also the sister of the late Adelard Riendeau and SR Claire Riendeau. Her funeral with a Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 10:00 in St. Joan of Arc Church, Mendon Rd, Cumberland. The family will receive guests at 9:30 AM near the entrance to the church. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham.
