Elise Champigny Nadeau 96, formerly of Rutland St. passed away on October 22, 2024, at St. Antoine Residence. She was the wife of the late Maurice Nadeau and Fernand Champigny. Elise spent her youth caring for her family in later years she worked part-time for All Saints Parish. She was also an accomplished seamstress. Elise was an active parishioner of St. Ann’s Parish which later became All Saints Parish and a member of the Ladies Guild. She was also a member of Union St. Jean Baptiste.
Elise is survived by her sons, Charles Champigny of Woonsocket, Marc Champigny of Haines City, FL and Paul Champigny of Las Vegas, a sister Louise Mitchell of England, two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Elise was predeceased by her son Robert Champigny, and sister Solange Huggins.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 10:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Antoine Chapel, Rhodes Ave, North Smithfield, RI. Burial will follow in St Jean Baptiste Cemetery.
