Elena D. (Morales) Velez

Elena D. Velez 82, of Mendon Rd, passed away on January 14, 2022, in Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Diego L. Velez. Elena was born in Itagui, Colombia, a daughter of the late Elias De Jesus Morales and Ysaura E. Saldariaga. She emigrated to the US in the 70’s and worked in manufacturing in New York before moving to RI. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children: Jose Velez of Waltham, MA, Diego of Waltham, Jesus of Utah, Juan of Woonsocket, Martin of Malden, and Nora Moore of N. Carolina, twenty grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Claudia and Janice Velez and was predeceased by all her siblings.
