Doris J. (Gelinas) Larence

Doris J. (Gelinas) Larence 66 of Woonsocket, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Richard Larence. Doris was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Romeo and Lilliane (Poisson) Gelinas. She previously worked for Avery – Dennison, dietary department of The Friendly Home and later worked for Stop & Shop. Doris adored her grandchildren, loved playing Bingo and pitch and loved her fur babies. She loved being around her family and family was everything to her. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Richard Larence Jr and his wife Danielle of Woonsocket, and Jennifer McMaugh and her husband Michael also of Woonsocket, her grandchildren Aiden and Ruby, and her siblings: Robert Gelinas of Ashaway, MA, Marcel Gelinas of Franklin, and Jean Gelinas.

Her funeral will be held Friday, November14, at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St, Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Rd, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St Jean Baptiste Cemetery Bellingham.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday, November 13th, 5-7 PM.
