Debra A (Raymond) Lessard

Debra Ann Lessard (Raymond), affectionately known as Debbie, 61, of Woonsocket, passed away peacefully in the early morning of June 16, 2024.
Debbie was born to Merilda Kaufmann (Bellemore) and the late Robert Raymond on May 14, 1963. After Debbie graduated from Woonsocket High School in 1981, she went on to travel and settle in Hawaii for a few years, where she welcomed her daughter Nicole Blinn (Lessard) before returning to the Woonsocket area, where she spent most of her life.

She is survived by her loving parents; Merilda & Robert Kaufmann, her daughter Nicole, son-in-law Steven Blinn and grandson Max, four sisters; Christine Shepard (Raymond), Lisa Raymond, Patrica Raymond and Michelle Raymond, many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly, her greatest love Arthur Tancrede and her lifelong best friend Mira Messere.

Debbie loved her family, she is best remembered for her cookouts and would often instigate water balloon fights. She beamed her brightest when surrounded by family. Camping, reading and shopping with her mother were amongst her favorite things.  Debbie was thrilled to be a grandmother to Max; so much so that she spoiled him, there wasn’t a store she went into where she didn’t leave with something for her boy. Debbie's second love was her collection of monkeys. To know Debbie is to know her love of all things monkey. 

She will be missed by all those who have come to know her, especially by her family.  Remember to look for her in the clouds. 

Her funeral with visitation will be held Monday, June 24, 2024, at the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St., Woonsocket from 9-11 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to HopeHealth, a local organization that made Debbie comfortable in her crucial last hours of life.
