Constance C. Sylvestre 95, of Second Ave., passed away at home on December 2, 2021, with family by her side. She was the wife of the late Roger J. Sylvestre Sr. Born in Blackstone; she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Roseanna (Cullerton) Trudeau. Constance was a stitcher for Narragansett Knitting Co. for many years before retiring in 1996. She had previously worked for UniRoyal and several area woolen mills. Constance enjoyed watching TV and playing games on her tablet. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughters Carol Carignan and her husband Larry of Woonsocket, Linda L. Perry and her husband Alfred J. of West Warwick; son Marc R. Sylvestre and his wife Allison of Mapleville; daughter-in-law Jeanne Sylvestre of North Smithfield; brother Roger Trudeau of Woonsocket; eight grandchildren, Scott, Keith and Derek Carignan, Judy Gaulin, Jessica Erikson, Patrick and Ryan Sylvestre, and Tia Tomaz, and fourteen great-grandchildren. Constance was predeceased by her son Roger J. Sylvestre Jr. and eleven siblings.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony’s Church, Greene St. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in St. Paul’s Cemetery in Blackstone. Visiting hours are Wednesday 4-7 PM.
