Constance J. (Grenon) Roy 90, formerly of North Smithfield, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2025 in the Friendly Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Roland A. Roy. Connie was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Armand and Elise (Lizotte) Grenon. She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for John Hancock, Pinault Hardware, ACS Industries and Refinement International for many years retiring in1999. She was a woman who loved her family and her church, from CYO to the St. Joseph’s Sr Citizens. Connie was an avid card player playing in the St Agatha’s pitch league and enjoyed playing Bingo, and spending time at the casino. She is survived by her children: Vivian Silva and her husband Daniel of Smithfield, Jacqueline Gregoire and her husband Marc of Blackstone, Ronald Roy and his wife Catherine of Naples, FL, and Charlene Whitman and her husband Steve of Plymouth, NH, thirteen grandchildren: Eric, Brenna, Kristin, Brittany, Nicolas, Steven, Elise, Kristin, Jessica, Kendall, Collin, Ethan, and Hayden, and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by all her siblings: Arthur, Alfred, Muriel, and Robert Grenon and Jeannette Briere. In addition to her husband and siblings, Connie was predeceased by her daughter Nancy Palardy.
Her funeral will be held Friday, June 6, at 9:00 am from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St, Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Holy Trinity Church, Park Ave, Woonsocket. Burial will be private. Visitation will be Thursday, 5-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to: The Friendly Home Activities Dept., 303 Rhodes Ave, Woonsocket RI, 02895.
