Constance P. (Cote) Chamberland 101, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024 at the Friendly Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Gerald M. Chamberland. She was born in Woonsocket, the daughter of the late Rosario and Imelda (Carriere) Cote. Connie worked for many years as an underwriter for the Keogh -Kirby Insurance Agency, retiring in 1978. She was a devout member of Holy Trinity Parish and was a member of the Ladies Guild, volunteering many years at the parish bazaar, bingo, and the OLQM Carnival kitchen. Connie enjoyed crafting, antiquing, and shopping. Her door was always open to all visitors and she was always ready with a home cooked meal or the suggestion of going out to eat, her treat! Connie and Gerry also enjoyed many years of wintering in Port St Lucie FL where they made many close friends. She also became a friend to the staff and residents during her stay at the Friendly Home. She will surely be missed. Connie is survived by her son Denis Chamberland and his wife Debra of North Smithfield, her grandchildren; David Chamberland and his wife Chelsea, Stephen Chamberland and his fiancee Deanna, and great grandchildren; Alexandria and Sebastian Chamberland. She was predeceased by her brothers, Roland and Paul Cote.
Her funeral with Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, January 9, at 10:00 am in Holy Trinity Church, Park Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. The family will receive guests inside the entrance to the church beginning at 9:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Activities Fund at Friendly Home, 303 Rhodes Ave, Woonsocket, RI 02895.
