Claire L (Morrisseau) Pointon

Claire Lucy (Morrisseau) Pointon, 85, a lifelong resident of Woonsocket, RI, passed away at HopeHealth Hospice & Palliative Care in Providence, on October 29, 2025. She was the loving wife of the late Norman Pointon. Claire was a kind, caring person to all that knew her.

Throughout her lifetime, she enjoyed baking and collecting cookbooks. Claire enjoyed puzzles, games, coloring, and reading. She loved being by the ocean and going on long car rides to explore new places. She was an avid sports fan, especially NASCAR, hockey, and football. One of Claire’s happiest moments was attending her first Red Sox game at Fenway Park this past summer with her devoted grandson, Chris Pointon Bostic and granddaughter, Gabby. Claire always had a quick sense of humor, even during times of struggle, and a quiet, determined strength. She brought joy and love to everyone around her.

Born in Woonsocket, RI, she was the daughter of the late Lionel and Lillian (Paquin) Morrisseau and sister of the late Roger Morrisseau. She is survived by her son, Raymond Frigon and his wife, Linda; daughter Suzanne Difiore and her husband, Peter; son-in-law, Michael Nespolo; and daughter-in-law, Michelle Lambert-Frigon. Two children predeceased Claire, daughter, Jeanne Nespolo and son, Paul Frigon. She also leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

Her funeral with visitation will be held Wednesday, November 5, 2025, beginning at 11:30 AM at the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 PM at St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket and burial in Resurrection Cemetery in Cumberland.
