Claire J. Gazaille 76, formerly of Nursery Ave., passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on December 31, 2021, at the home of her daughter. Born in Montreal, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Dollard and Marie Anne (Trudeau) Gazaille. Claire was a quality control inspector for Tech Industries for over twenty years. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church Choir. She was very active in the St. Joseph’s parish and also taught CCD. Claire was a humble woman who always gave of herself and put family first.
She is survived by a son Marcel Bessette of Woonsocket, two daughters, Celeste Barnes and her husband Alan of Johnston, and Colette Lemoine and her husband Michael of North Providence: two sisters, Suzanne Hannon of Lincoln, and Louise Wynkoop of Cumberland, and seven grandchildren, Sarah Singh, Dylan Burke, Randall Burke, Alex Barnes, Sebastian Barnes, David Lemoine, and Nicholas Lemoine. Claire was predeceased by her grandson Aaron Burke.
Her funeral will be held Thursday, January 6, 2022, at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Visiting hours are Wednesday, January 5, 2022, from 5-7 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to National Alliance on Mental Illness, www.NAMI.org in her memory would be appreciated.
