Claire (Lessard) Calonne

Claire Calonne 91, formerly of North Smithfield, passed away on August 1, 2024, at the Sandy Lake Rehabilitation and Care Center in Coppell, TX. She was the wife of the late Ralph H Calonne. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Adolphe and Jeannette (Falardeau) Lessard. Claire was a secretary for several area textile mills. Claire’s love of the outdoors included going to the beach, the lake and camping. She also enjoyed sports and traveling. Claire will be remembered for her love, unselfishness, strength, courage, and warmth. Her family will keep her in their hearts when they savor her amazing recipes, especially her spaghetti and meatballs. “We love you mom and will meet up again someday. PS Give dad a big hug for us!”

She is survived by her loving children, Michael R. Calonne of Coppell, TX and Susan Mehlenbacher of Florida, eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Her funeral with visitation will be held Monday, August 12, 2024, at 10:00 AM with a service in the funeral home at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery in Slatersville.
