Cecile (Champagne) Boucher

Cecile (Champagne) Boucher 97, formerly of Woonsocket, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 5, 2024, at her home in Cape Cod, MA, with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Lionel G. Boucher. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Armand and Dorina (Lauzon) Champagne. Mrs. Boucher worked as a cloth inspector and sewer for Royal Robes Industries, before she retired in 1978. She was a member of the Waterview Association. Her passion was spending time with her children and grandchildren, cooking, reading, and music.

She is survived by three daughters, Sue Pouliot of NC, Claudette Dean of NH, and Diane C. Boucher of Cape Cod MA, and a beloved friend Carol A. Deveau of Cape Cod, MA, a daughter-in-law Ronda Boucher and a brother-in-law Rudy Drolet both of RI, eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her three sons, George Boucher, Gerard Boucher, and Robert Boucher, and siblings, Mabel Drolet, Roland Champagne, and Gerard Champagne.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Church, Park Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, RI. Visitation will be held Monday, April 22, 2023, from 2-4 PM.
